11 Week Update.

On the home front: Still working on slowly unpacking some boxes. It is just a lot of work to go. I was hoping to get many things done this past weekend, but that did not happen!

On the baby front: 11 weeks today! So I have decided not to get the genetic testing. I did research and it is very invasive, so I did not feel that it is not worth the miscarriage risk. Besides that, the exhaustion is fading a little bit. Now the new big issue is, I am hungry ALL THE TIME. I can not eat enough in one sitting, so I am trying to find "filling, healthy snacks". Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I plan on trying to find a way to add our sonogram picture and a few other pictures so you can all see this.

In case you wanted to know, this is what the baby is doing this week, development wise:

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. His/Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

A friend at work and I were pregnant at the same time, with due dates 1 day apart, so we went through everything together. We spent our entire second trimester sharing bags of sour patch kids and going out for cheeseburgers every day. I do not recommend!

Even if you didn't like milk before, try drinking a glass of 2%. At one point, I was drinking more than two gallons a week all by myself. It's good for the baby, good for you, portable, and for me, at least, it tasted better than anything in the world. Except sour patch kids and cheeseburgers...
